What is Thermo Auricular Therapy?
Thermo Auricular Therapy is the professional use of Hopi Ear Candles, used to aid relaxation, relief of human, ear, nose, and throat conditions and associated problems. These include sinusitis, headaches and migraine, tinnitus, excessive wax, catarrh, glue ear, and mild hearing loss.
The ear candles are gently placed into the outer edge of the ear canal and allowed to burn. The candles work very gently on a chimney principle. The pleasant warm smoke gently vibrates and the warm air generated gives a very pleasant massage effect to the eardrum. This in turn helps to balance the ear and sinuses and helps in softening ear wax, which then can be dispersed naturally. The candles are made from the natural ingredients of beeswax, honey extracts, sage, St Johns Wort, chamomile, beta carotene, and organically grown flax.
This ancient and natural therapy has been handed down by many civilizations. We are told that many ancient cultures including the Romans, Greeks, and Egyptians use some form of ear candling.
